In 1992 Historic Tours was the only American tour operator to design and operate tours to Australia and Fiji to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Battle of the Coral Sea. Over 250 members of the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation and the U.S. Fifth Air Force Memorial Foundation traveled with us. In June 1994 we brought over 1,000 tour members to Normandy to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the D-Day landings. For both commemorations they worked closely with the Allied governments to actually design many of the events.
Over the years we have worked with hundreds of towns in Europe to arrange for parades, receptions and monument dedications to welcome back the Americans who liberated them from Nazi oppression. On June 7, 1994 we hosted the Red, White and Blue Victory Dance at the town square in Avranches, France. This major D-Day commemorative event was attended only by our 1,000 tour members and townspeople. The event featured the U.S. Navy's Sixth Fleet Band.

Our tours have been featured on THE CBS NEWS WITH DAN RATHER, WABC - TV EYEWITNESS NEWS IN NEW YORK CITY AND ORLANDO, AND COUNTLESS EUROPEAN AND AUSTRALIAN TELEVISION SHOWS. THE NEW YORK TIMES, USA TODAY, THE WASHINGTON POST, AND TRAVEL AND LEISURE MAGAZINE are just a partial list of the newspapers and magazines in which our tours have been featured.
We were the first company in history to design and to operate tours to commemorate the US. Navy's role in World War II. Working closely with the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation we operated four tours to commemorate the U.S. Navy's role in the Normandy landings and in OPERATION ANVIL/DRAGOON- the invasion of the French Riviera. In 1994 our company worked closely with the U.S. Navy Memorial Foundation to commemorate the Navy's casualties in EXERCISE TIGER- the doomed pre-D-Day training mission in southern England. A monument commemorating the events was dedicated during our D-DAY AND VICTORY IN THE ATLANTIC tour.
Historic Tours has associated offices in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Nice, France. We have coordinated the construction of many WW II monuments and plaques in honor of American veterans. We also arrange for wonderful receptions, parades and other events.

Dear Cristy and Ray,
I want to thank you both and Sue, Steve and Alain. The trip we just came back from was the best! It took me back to the 40s. Enjoyed all and want to thank you both for the nice things you did for Babe and me. I also want to thank all were in the background. There was a lot of homework done behind the scenes. Thank them too! Just remember this your tour the Easy Company 60th Anniversary Commemorative Tour was the best! Thanks a million for all of the memories.
